Indroduction to Wuhan Textile University

Wuhan Textile University is a comprehensive university founded in 1958. It is one of the top ten universities famous in Fashion in China and the university for ‘Education and Training Plan for Excellent Engineers’ of the Ministry of Education of China.

It is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, covering an area of 135 hectares. 

There are 21 teaching departments and 64 undergraduate majors, including 4 specialties with national characteristics, 8 specialties of ‘Education and Training Plan for Excellent Engineers’ of the Ministry of Education, 7 outstanding specialties of Hubei Province, and 13 first-level disciplines for master’s degree. 

The university has over 20000 students, 2000 staff and 1000 full-time teachers.

Wuhan Textile University is a training unit of the Chinese Government Scholarship Project and the Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship Project. It has established ties with more than 100 universities and institutions in more than 30 countries and regions.

It is the first member of AUTEXT in China mainland, the member of the board of the U.K. Textile Institute and the U.S. Fiber Society, the initiative unit of ‘The Belt and Road’ Association of Textile Higher Education, the alliance member of ‘The Belt and Road’ World Textile University. 

It undertook the 89th Textile Institute World Conference (in 2014), International Forum of Chinese Scientists in Textile Materials, First Sino-Russian University Forum in Hubei Province, 2017 China Textile Academic Conference, ‘The Belt and Road’ Textile Higher Education Summit Forum.

Program and Research Direction (Master’s Degree, two years)

All the above majors can apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) or the President Scholarship of Wuhan Textile University.

Wuhan Textile University enrolls outstanding international students to study for a master’s degree in China for two years. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, less than 35 years old, and be proficient in English, or Chinese at HSK 4 or above. Qualified applicants can apply for scholarships.

Wuhan Textile University enrolls outstanding international students to study for a master’s degree in China for two years. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, less than 35 years old, and be proficient in English, or Chinese at HSK 4 or above. Qualified applicants can apply for scholarships.

Self-supporting applicants should submit the following documents authentically, correctly and completely in Chinese or English:

4.1.‘Application Form for International Student Admission for WTU’（must be submitted in WORD version with photos and electronic signature on the last page）

4.2.Bachelor’s Degree (color scanned copy, no notarization）

4.3. Valid Passport（color scanned copy）

4.4. Bank Authorized Deposit Certificate（less than50000 RMB）

4.5. Academic transcript（color scanned copy，no notarization）

4.6. Personal Statement（The content should include study and work experience, academic interests and background, study plan, future career direction, objectives and the reasons for applying to our university）

4.7.Foreigners’ physical examination forms（color scanned copy，which can be downloaded from the official website of the local Chinese Embassy）

2019 Wuhan Textile University of Guidance for International Postgraduates of Fee Standards

Flexible fee is applied to self-supporting applicants. For those who are recommended as ‘excellent’ students (recommendation letters should be provided by in-study university, graduated university or employer), the fee standard is liberal arts 10000RMB/year, science, engineering and art 15000RMB/year and the accommodation is free.

Applicants for President’s Scholarship of Wuhan Textile University should submit the following documents authentically, correctly and completely in Chinese or English:

2019 Wuhan Textile University of Guidance for International Postgraduates of Accommodation

The student apartment is a double room, which is arranged by the university before the students arrive. There are many campuses in Wuhan Textile University. Students majoring in Art Design live in Nanhu Campus, while students majoring in other programs live in Sunshine Campus.

8.1. Indoor: bathroom, furniture, air conditioning, water heater, washing machine.

Kitchen: refrigerator, electromagnetic oven, microwave oven.

8.2 Internet: the dormitory can access the Internet 24 hours at the charge of telecommunication operators.

8.3. Hydropower: there is monthly quota for utilizing water and electricity and the surplus will be charged.
