2022 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

I. ELIGIBILITY

a) Non-Chinese citizens

b) In good physical and mental conditions, and with good academic

performance and conduct

c) Committed to the Chinese language education and related fields

d) Between the ages from 18 to 35 (as of September 1, 2022)

e) Under the age of 45 for applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers

II. SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATION  

Master Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of OtherLanguages (MTCSOL)	Admission Date: September 2022Duration: 2 academic yearsBachelor’s degree holdersHSK (Level 5) 210 points and HSKK (Intermediate) 60 points or abovePriority given to those who provide a work contract with a teaching institution or a proof to the same effect
One-Academic-Year Study	Admission Date: September 2022Duration: 11 monthsNot eligible for applicants who have benefited from similar scholarshipsTCSOL: HSK (Level 3) 270 points or above and HSKK scoreChinese Language and Literature: HSK (Level 4) 180 points and HSKK (Intermediate Level) 60 points or aboveChinese Language Study:HSK (Level 3) 210 points or abovePriority given to those who provide HSKK score

III. APPLICATION DEADLINE (Beijing Time)

a) For the programs commencing in July: April 15

b) For the programs commencing in September: May 15

c) For the programs commencing in December: September 15

d) For the programs commencing in March 2023: November 15

IV. COVERAGE AND CRITERIA

a) Full scholarship covering tuition fees, living allowances (not for Four-Week Study)，accommodation fees, comprehensive medical insurance expenses

b) Monthly living allowances

For MTCSOL: 3,000CNY per person

For One-Academic-Year and One-Semester Study: 2,500CNY per person

V. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

1. A scanned copy of passport photo page
2. A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests(within two-year validity)
3. A reference letter by the head of the recommending institutions
4. The heath report
5. The non-criminal certificate
6. A certification of the highest education diploma (or proof of expected graduation) and an official academic transcript in English or Chinese (only for MTCSOL applicants)
7. Two reference letters from professors or associate professors(only for MTCSOL applicants)
8. The contract with the teaching institution to be appointed after graduation (only for contract holders)
9. The proof of employment and a reference letter by the employer(only for in-service Chinese language teachers)
10. The 2022 International Chinese Language Teachers ScholarshipCertificate (only for Chinese Bridge winners)
